Ouch! Poorly piggy Edie came in swiftly to visit Vet Katie when her owner noticed her eye had clouded over, Edie had a nasty piece of hay stuck in her eye that caused a painful ulcer.

Luckily Edie’s eye is back to normal after medication. If ulcers are left untreated, your pet could go blind or even lose an eye. If ever you are concerned about your pets eyes please contact your local branch for advice.

Some common signs of eye pain in pets are bloodshot or cloudy appearance of the eye, discharge and especially squinting.
